While Kirk Schuring was campaigning around Ohio's 16th Congressional district, his staff looked for ways to connect with younger voters. Rostra's solution: Facebook application. This application has two functions. First, on the right, recent updates and messages can be posted. All the campaign staff member has to do is to log on and type what the new title and content is to be. Once the submit button is hit, Facebook is updated with the new information. This keeps users of the application up to date on campaign events. The second function is on the left. This image is more then just a logo. Think of it as a yard sign, but on Facebook profiles. It is a great way to get your name out there and to start positive discussions on one of the worlds most popular social networking sites. |
This site was made for the Miami University chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi (AKψ) business fraternaty. AKψ needed to have a solid site to help them reach out to recruits. They also wanted a back end to be used as a resource for their members. The site enables AKψ to network with alumni, post internship and interviewing tips, and set up discussion boards. Flame enables this site to naturally grow and evolve to meet the needs of the members of AKψ.
